The Government is providing additional funding for schools to improve Physical Education and Sport in the Primary School. This funding provided jointly by the Department of Education Health and Culture, Media and Sport will be allocated to Primary School Head Teachers.

The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on the provision of Physical Education and Sport in school.

A new senior leadership team has been put into place since September 2015. The information provided for 2014-2015 is based on the information available to the new senior leadership team.
